This position is located in the Behavioral Health Department at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC), within Ambulatory Services. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the incumbent ensures patients receive quality patient centered integrated mental health care that is consistent with the patient-centered medical home principles, and that care is timely, appropriate, cost effective, sensitive and coordinated to achieve desired clinical outcomes.Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S), GS-0185:
Degree: social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications and Selective Placement Factor stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples Include: providing integrated comprehensive mental health and social services to ambulatory care patients.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR, License: Applicants who do not meet a selective factor are ineligible for further consideration.
Must have ability to independently perform clinical social work functions with demonstration of advanced knowledge and skill in the management of complex social work scenarios as indicated by possession of one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW); or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
